THE STAVA LARGE FISH GRADER   The STAVA large fish grader is designed and built for high capacity grading of fish into several size catagories according to species ranging from herring and mackerel to large cod, salmon and tuna - carefully so that not a single scale is damaged! Hangs from two height-adjustable columns. It can also be fastened to the ceiling, freeing the working floor below for other uses. Grades both gutted and ungutted fish ashore and on board. It is particularly efficient when placed after the gutting and washing stage where a washing tank/conveyor is used as the feeder. Handles fish up to 25 cm in diameter. Clearance between the belts is adjustable from 2-20 cm. Grading fish before further processing results in higher yield, which means greater profit. Comes equipped with variable-speed 0,37 kw electric or hydraulic motors. Repair and maintainance is minimal. Water requirement is 4 litres per minute. STAVA's design is ingeniously simple. Each grading channel has two PVC belts that travelles up to 90 metres per minute. Smaller fish is sorted first while larger fish gently travels forward until the clearance between the belts is wide enough for them to pass through. The fish droppes into bins or onto conveyors under the belts for further processing, whith the largest size dropping over the end.
